Request: Optional Plus Size Versions and Creator Studio Enhancements
ㅤㅤ
Dear Everskies Team,
Thank you for your continued work on the platform and for supporting the creative community. We’re writing this with deep respect for your efforts, but also with sincere concerns and suggestions for improvement — based on practical experience with the Creator Studio and publishing system.
- PS versions should be optional, not mandatory
We strongly support body diversity in Everskies — but mandatory PS versions do not support real inclusivity. They put creative and technical pressure on artists, and often result in lower-quality work due to time or skill limitations.
Here’s why this policy should be reconsidered:
Not having a PS version is not discrimination. Artists should be able to choose which version they can produce well. If someone creates a set only for male avatars, it’s accepted — so PS should be treated equally.
PS faces and proportions are different, especially around the head and shoulders, which makes adapting items — particularly faces and hair — very challenging and time-consuming.
There are no integrated tools in the Creator Studio to support this adaptation.
PS versions sell worse and are less in demand. This is known among both designers and buyers, and forcing them doesn’t increase value — it wastes time.
Most PS versions are made just to pass moderation, not with care or accuracy — which defeats the purpose.
We’re not asking to remove PS from the platform — we're asking to make it optional, like other sizes and genders.
- Please improve the Creator Studio experience
Currently, the Creator Studio is difficult to use — and nearly impossible to work with on mobile. It causes stress and makes design less enjoyable. We suggest:
Add a recolor function inside the Creator Studio.
You now require multiple recolors for sets to be valid in contests, auctions, and spine — but recoloring manually is a waste of time and creates burnout.
Allow uploading MS and PS versions as a pair.
Instead of constantly choosing “PS/MS,” linking files manually, and picking colors one by one — let us upload both sizes together and assign shared metadata.
Rework the Studio UI to be smoother, faster, and mobile-friendly.
Right now, the layout, upload flow, and UX are unintuitive and slow — especially for new designers.
- Centralize all design guides and resources
Yes, tutorials and guides exist — but they’re scattered across forum posts and club messages. Designers, especially beginners, can’t find them easily.
Please consider:
Adding a separate "Guides" tab in the Creator Studio with links to tutorials, rules, and base downloads.
Organizing guides by topic (PS adaptation, layering, recoloring, submission checklist, etc.)
What this would improve:
Higher-quality designs for all sizes
More motivation and energy from artists
Better user experience and platform growth
Fairer treatment of all body types without pressure or forced work
We truly hope you consider this feedback and take it seriously. Thank you for reading and for continuing to improve Everskies for both creators and players.

Also the male and female thing is wrong, recently there’s a new rule that if you make a body with a chest you must also include a flat chest version.

You used to be able to do just MS or just one skin colour, is that easier to design? Sure. Is that fair? Not at all. People who wanted to use the PS base couldn’t because there weren’t enough options, people who had darker skin would find most faces or makeups didn’t cater to them.
People couldn’t dress up how they wanted in a dress up game. And many of these mirror the problems faced in real life with lack of fitting clothing or makeup. How can you use dress up games as escapism if there’s no escape?
Resizing and recolouring is long, but people who use less “profitable” item variants shouldn’t suffer for it just because their existence makes designing a bit more difficult for you.

i don’t even go here anymore but i think this is silly and i wanna give my piece: “If someone creates a set only for male avatars, it’s accepted — so PS should be treated equally.” ms and ps are not the same as male and female, clothes do not have a gender and you can’t make clothes for “only male avatars”, pretty much all my avis when i played were fem despite being a trans guy who’s generally masc irl. “PS versions sell worse and are less in demand. This is known among both designers and buyers, and forcing them doesn’t increase value — it wastes time.” i don’t see why them being “worth less” really matters, it made ps items significantly easier for me and other ps users to get which id say is a positive thing. “ Most PS versions are made just to pass moderation, not with care or accuracy — which defeats the purpose.” i get that and i definitely saw that but i don’t think making ps optional again is the best way to go about this, i think it will just discourage people from trying to be inclusive and just not doing it because it’s “hard”. the same sentiment goes for skintones but we don’t see people advocating to make all skintones optional 🤷♂️ anyways that’s my thoughts on this as a fat guy who almost exclusively used the ps base

lee your comment contains several logical and factual errors that require clarification. first, the reference to male-only sets was not about gendered clothing but about the platform’s selective enforcement of rules. artists are allowed to create content for only one base — whether male or female — without being accused of discrimination. however, ps is treated differently, with its absence flagged as a violation. that reflects inconsistent standards, not inclusion. second, saying that “ps and ms are not like male and female” does not refute the main point: the ps base is just one of several formats, and designers should not be forced to produce for all formats — especially when doing so requires time, skill, and tools that are not provided. third, dismissing the lower demand for ps items is both economically and ethically flawed. designers are expected to invest hours into technically complex adaptations for a base that sells less, receives less attention, and lacks studio support. that is not inclusivity — it is unpaid labor under duress. a user’s preference does not override a creator’s capacity. claiming that “not doing it because it’s hard” is an excuse ignores the real issue: adapting for ps requires redrawing facial elements, adjusting shoulder placements, and working around a lack of built-in tools. it is not just “hard,” it is unsupported. doing double the work with no return leads to burnout, not progress. the skintone analogy is inaccurate. all skintones function on the same body base. ps is a structurally different body with altered proportions. treating those two challenges as equal is a category error. finally, true inclusion is built on consent, not obligation. forcing designers to produce content for a specific base regardless of their tools, time, or intent does not result in better representation — it results in rushed, low-quality adaptations that no one benefits from. if you value inclusivity, you should also value the creators whose labor makes it possible. choice is not exclusion — it is sustainability.

ㅤㅤi don’t really understand what you mean by “artists are allowed to create content for only one base — whether male or female — without being accused of discrimination.” i don’t remember there being any specifically “male” or “female” bases, also i’ve seen plenty of well made, and beautiful ps items, and have only seen one time a creator complaining about having to draw for the ps base unless there’s been a massive shift in opinion in the few months since i’ve stopped playing? and i don’t think making the existence of fat people “optional” is good inclusion lol, and that’s a very real problem in the real world as well! companies and brands choose not to be size inclusive because fat people are “abnormal” in their eyes and we don’t deserve to wear nice things just because we’re not skinny. i still stand by everything i said again as a fat person myself.

ㅤㅤi also want to add that the skintone analogy isn’t entirely inaccurate, poc have different facial features and undertones than me as a pasty white canadian, you can’t just change the colour a bit and everything fits. you need to make sure your face is visible and accurate on all skintones, making sure features and any built-in makeup isn’t washed out or disappears on darker skintones and this is why i made the comparison

The mandatory requirement to produce PS (plus-size) versions of items in the Everskies Creator Studio raises serious legal and ethical concerns about fair treatment of digital creators. While promoting body diversity is important, enforcing uncompensated labor crosses a line. The PS base is not just a size variation but a structurally different model, requiring significant redesign of facial features, shoulders, and clothing fit. Unlike simple style changes, adapting items for PS demands extra time, skill, and effort. The Creator Studio lacks tools or automation to support this, forcing creators to do extra work without platform aid or compensation, which is unreasonable for independent contributors. Market data show PS versions sell less and have lower demand, placing an unfair burden on creators to produce less profitable content. Forcing this undermines the creative economy and lowers quality. Inclusivity should be voluntary and supported, not coerced. Without tools or incentives, mandatory PS content creates exploitative conditions and may drive creators away, harming platform growth. Therefore, PS version requirements should be optional, consistent with policies allowing creators to produce for one aesthetic or gender base. Optionality respects creative freedom, sustains quality, and encourages long-term participation while valuing inclusivity. In summary, requiring compulsory PS content without adequate support risks violating fair labor principles. True inclusivity empowers creators through choice, tools, and recognition, not forced output.

ㅤㅤI'm glad you're banned, omg! ur so devoid of intelligence. I honestly wouldn't have half the patience these people had to come here and explain to you how wrong this request is. It should be common sense, but apparently you prefer to be stuck in your own tiny sick world. Absolutely no one was forcing you to do design for the game, no one! Your ceasing to do designs doesn't affect us or you in any way. Well, maybe it will affect you a little. After all, you lose your lazy source of income and you lose the opportunity to explore diverse people in an exclusive place with your anti-diversity mindset. Ultimately, your designs have a terrible finish. It's understandable that you want to remove the ps base, given that you always do such a lazy job. Improve yourself.
